Fun for all in West Berkshire today
FROM Sport Relief fundraising to feeding new born lambs - there is something for everyone to do in West Berkshire today (Sunday).
Bargain hunters can search through goods at the Racecourse Newbury - where the Giant Car Boot Fair - located in the Coach car park - will be returning for a sixth year.
There will be hundreds of stalls to browse, with a healthy mix of families, dealers and collectors, house movers,students and local residents out to enjoy the event.
Refreshments and toilets are available and there will be a Fruit & Veg seller, Coffee and Ice cream van to keep guests refreshed.
Elsewhere, animal lovers can enjoy the start of Spring by attending "lambing time" at Rushall Farm, Bradfield.
Guests visiting the organic farm in the heart of the picturesque Pang Valley can visit the lambing shed to see lambs being born and bottle feed newly-born lambs.
Other attractions include a tractor and trailer ride around the farm and surrounding woodland, and visitors can stop off at the thatched barn for a tempting array of refreshments, including soup, hot dogs, drinks and homemade cakes.
Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Games take place from Friday March 21, to Sunday March 23 with members of the public invited to run, swim or cycle their way to raise cash for the cause, at venues locally including Northcroft, Kennet and Hungerford leisure centres and other venues countrywide.
During the last campaign, Sainsbury’s staff raised more than £1,500.
