Fun in the sun
Weather an added bonus for The Watermill theatre's family day
It was Family Fun Day at The Watermill today (Tuesday). The aim of the day was to welcome families with younger children to the theatre, on what might be their first visit, and for them to see what a friendly, fun place it can be.
The Bagnor theatre's outreach director Beth Flintoff said ‘We were delighted to welcome so many families for our Family Fun Day in such gorgeous weather. The Watermill was packed with children trying on costumes from previous shows, painting masks, playing drama games, and creating a giant picture of a theatre set.
We are blessed to have lots of Watermill volunteers who helped us to deal with the hordes, in particular the actress Polly Highton, who offered to tell fantastic stories in the theatre all morning.
