Fun packed fete at Woolton Hill school

MAYPOLE dancing was part of the fun of the fete at a Woolton Hill Infant’s school.

Held recently at St Thomas’ Infant School, a fun filled craft and cookery competition for adults and children was open to all:
“Some of the categories for the children included baking six fairy cakes, six biscuits, plus a colouring competition to draw a Maypole and design a miniature garden on a plate,” said Jo Johnstone, joint chairwoman of the school’s PTA, adding:
“The adults were asked to make either a traditional Victoria sandwich, a pot of jam, a quiche, or enter a craft item.”
Traditional stalls included hoopla, tombola, target football, cakes and refreshments, with music provided by East Woodhay Silver Band.
