Fun run for toddler who was saved by air ambulance held today (Sunday)
Sophie Ainsworth (pictured) and her mother, Catriona Reeves, will be traversing the Acland Hall recreation ground in Hermitage Road, Cold Ash in aid of the Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance.
The run begins at 3pm and the family have invited all to attend and help generate cash for the good cause.
In August little Sophie fractured her skull and eye socket when she fell from a first floor window while visiting her grandparents in Cold Ash.
The toddler plummeted 14 feet and landed on a brick path.
She was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital in 15 minutes where she underwent surgery.
Luckily she suffered no brain injury as a result of the fall, and no other part of her body was damaged.
Ms Reeves said: "If any other children (or grown ups, even!) would like to join the race, please do - the more the merrier!
"If you are able, it would be lovely if you can "sponsor" Sophie and the others - no donation would be too small. It will be nice if we can show Sophie in future years that something positive came out of her accident, and that her family and friends were able to say "thank you" to those who helped her."
