Parkinson's UK hosting fundraising walk at Welford Park

Parkinson’s UK is hosting a walking event at Welford Park next month to raise money for the charity’s vital work and research.

Taking place on Sunday, July 10, the fundraiser will contain two walkable routes of 2.5 or 6.5 miles that will take walkers along the River Lambourn and through the countryside surrounding it.

The sign-up fee is £12 for adults and £6 for under 18s and suggested sponsorship is £50 per person.

The walk will start and finish at Welford Park and registration for the walk closes a week – on Sunday, July 3.

Around 145,000 people live with Parkinson’s in the UK and it is the fastest growing neurological condition in the world.

There is currently no cure, but Parkinson’s UK is leading the way to its discovery through its ground-breaking research into the condition.
