THOUSANDS of pounds worth of gardening equipment has been stolen from a farm in Aldermaston.

Between 8pm on Saturday (October 1) and 9am on Sunday (2), equipment was stolen from storage buildings at a farm in Rag Hill, Aldermaston, including a ride-on lawn mower, a wood chipper, power tools, leaf blowers, a generator and a trailer.

Det Con Stephen Brown of Thames Valley Police is leading the investigation.

He said: “This was a large amount of equipment being stolen overnight and we would urge anyone who may have seen anything unusual around this area to contact us.

“The offenders might try to sell on these tools and so we would ask anyone who is approached and offered this kind of equipment to buy and is suspicious to contact us.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Det Con Brown on 0845 8 505 505, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
