Gas canister explodes at show

Fire fighters were on the scene to extinguish the blaze

THE fire started at a food stall in the conservation area of the site.

Rapid Fire Cover, a fire protection company, say the blaze was caused by a tea urn which then caused a gas canister to explode.

The incident occurred at Drovers Way Catering stand in the conservation area about 12pm.

The fire was put out quickly and a cordon was only put in place for about 15 minutes.

The food stall has now reopened and there were no reports of injuries.

The food stall closed as a result.
