Get ready for the 18th Reading Beer and Cider Festival

The 18th Reading Beer and Cider Festival opens tomorrow (Wednesday), and is bringing a range of 550 British real ales, over 200 ciders and perries, foreign beers and English wines, and for the first time, a selection of American bottled beers.
Held at Kings Meadow in Reading the festival opens at 6pm, with the final pints to be served at 7pm on Sunday, May 6.
Over 400 volunteer members of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) are busy getting the site ready for the expected crowd of more than 15,000 people over the five days.
Live bands will also be on hand to provide entertainment.
The festival organiser, Martin Harbor, said: “This is one of the biggest and best beer festivals in the country and really puts Reading on the map. It’s the local people that really make the event special, but we’re also looking forward to welcoming our regular visitors from further afield.”
