Get ready for Tilly's Tour De Berkshire

The event was inspired by little Tilly Green, now aged four.
Her father Ross said: “Tilly was born with the genetic disease cystic fibrosis. My friends an I are regular cyclists so we decided to put our hobby to good use. We started riding in charity events to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and when we were unable to enter the Capital to Coast, London to Hove ride due to it being fully booked we decided to create our own.
“Having the beautiful Berkshire countryside on our doorstep, picking a route was easy and the Tour De Berks was born.”
The event is now in its third year and last year 22 riders participated.
The ride will start and finish at the village hall in Bradfield Southend and registration will be at hall at 10am.
All are welcome and the gentle, 20 mile route will cater for all abilities, sticking to quite country lanes taking in some of the best of the Berkshire countryside with a few pub stops on the way.
The event has raised nearly £11,000 since it began in 2008.
Entry is £10 per adult and children under 16 on the day of the event can ride for free.
