July networking for businesswomen with Athena West Berkshire

THE expert speakers at this month’s Athena West Berks meetings are focused around a common theme at the heart of every business – getting known and getting your name out there.

July meetings kick off on Thursday, July 8, when the Newbury West group will be hearing from business development consultant Louise Pengilley on the importance of selling without being pushy.

On Friday, July 9, marketing coach Alex Grist will be giving tips on building your brand at the Hungerford group meeting.

The Newbury East meeting follows on Thursday, July 15, where Clare Farley of Pink Spaghetti will be giving some fun, handy tips to use on social media.

Finally, on Wednesday, July 21, Rachel Edwards of Lionize Media will be at the Newbury Central meeting when her expert talk will focus on helping businesses explore the best social platforms and how best to utilise them.

As with every Athena meeting, the expert speakers are an integral part of the format, covering areas that are so important to small and medium-sized businesses.

Athena West Berks regional director Caroline Snowdon said: "As always, our members find the training sessions so useful and always go away with a handy tip to try out.

"I am particularly excited this month to be able to welcome visitors for free, where normally there would be a charge.

"This means that if you are female businesswoman in West Berkshire, you can come along, talk about your business, chat to other members and see whether it is for you.

"Meetings are very informal, not pressurised and always great fun.”

Meetings continue to take place online from noon to 2pm and visitors should book in advance.
