Ghosts and ghouls at Halloween Hullabaloo

The annual event was back for its fourth year, with thousands of people enjoying activities throughout the day, including ghost stories in the town hall and creepy crawly workshops.
There were large queues at the face painting tent where various vampires, ghosts and ghouls emerged, while members of the public were busy carving pumpkins into spiders, witches and other scary shapes.
Later in the evening the crowds were entertained by rockabilly group The Long Insiders and acoustic artist Lucas Abbott, who played a number of contemporary hits by the likes of Katy Perry and KT Tunstall.
The finale saw a flash mob performing a dance in the middle of the crowds in Market Place, followed by a lazer show and procession with giant birds on stilts and a samba band.
