London Irish winger Ollie Hassell-Collins retains his place in the England squad ahead of the start of the Six Nations Championship

Newbury rugby star Ollie Hassell-Collins has retained his place in the England squad after head coach Eddie Jones trimmed it down ahead of their opening game in the Six Nations Championship.

England head to Murrayfield on Saturday (February 5) to contest the Calcutta Cup and the squad has been reduced from 36 to 29, with 23 set to be named in the matchday squad.

The former St Bartholomew’s School pupil and London Irish winger is one of just two uncapped players in the squad, with Alfie Barbeary holding the other spot.

Hassell-Collins was previously named in Jones' training squad ahead of the 2021 summer internationals.

He has already represented England at the under-20s Six Nations Championship in 2019.

The starting line-up for the first match is expected to be announced tomorrow morning (Thursday).
