Golden oldie staffy seeks retirement home

Alone in world after sudden bereavement

A golden oldie Staffie is looking for a retirement home, after finding herself alone in the world, following a sudden bereavement.

Tara, a twelve-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier was brought in to Dogs Trust Newbury after her owners sadly passed away. She is now looking for a loving retirement home where she can live her twilight years to the fullest.

Jenny Hopkins, Assistant Manager at Dogs Trust Newbury, said:

“Tara is a friendly girl who is happiest in human company so she is best suited to a home where her new owner can be around for most of the day to keep her company. As she adores spending all her time with people, Tara would like to be the only pet in the home so she can have her new human friends all to herself.”

“This lovely lass prefers the quiet life so she is looking for an adult-only home, perhaps with a retired couple, where she won’t receive any young visitors. Tara doesn’t need too much exercise and would be happy to potter about in the garden, or mooch around on short walks in a peaceful, rural area before curling up on a comfy sofa for a well-deserved snooze.”

Do you think you could offer Tara the perfect retirement home? Why not visit the Dogs Trust Newbury at Plumb’s Farm, Hamstead Marshall, Newbury, Berks RG20 0HR or call the rehoming centre on 0300 303 0292.

Dogs Trust is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity and cares for nearly 17,000 stray and abandoned dogs each year through its network of 20 Rehoming Centres in the UK and one in Ireland.
