Berkshire Farm Girl, Eleanor Gilbert, shortlisted for the BBC Food and Farming Countryfile Young Countryside Champion Award
Our very own Berkshire Farm Girl has been shortlisted for a prestigious BBC award. And you can find out if she wins on TV tonight (Sunday).
Eleanor Gilbert from Rookery Farm, Newbury, is in the running for the BBC Food and Farming Countryfile Young Countryside Champion award.
The finalists – including Eleanor – all attended a gala event at Cardiff's National Museum earlier this week and the winners will be announced on BBC Countryfile this event at 6.15pm.
It was hosted by BBC Radio Wales’ Wynne Evans, who was joined by judges including Sheila Dillon (Presenter of The Food Programme), Asma Khan, (Restaurateur), Adam Henson (Countryfile presenter and farmer) and Matt Allwright.
"Thank you very much to all those who took the time to nominate me," Eleanor said.
The awards were launched in 2000 to mark the 20th anniversary of BBC Radio 4's The Food Programme.
If you can't tune in live keep an eye on Newburytoday and we'll let you know the results.
Good luck Eleanor!
