Hungerford skate park survey sparks lively response
A SURVEY seeking views on proposed improvements to Hungerford's skateboard park has attracted a good response.
A full meeting of Hungerford Town Council was told that more than 100 people had offered suggestions.
The current equipment at the Bulpit Lane park is nearing the end of its life and councillors feel a new purpose-built skatepark will create an exciting recreational space designed for families and people of all ages and skating and riding abilities.
The town council has been seeking the views of the community on the project, which would involve the design and construction of a sprayed concrete terrain.
Town mayor Helen Simpson told the meeting on Monday, March 7: "We've had over 100 responses so far, which is good going.
"I've also asked our working party to be available at the Town Meeting [in the Croft Hall on Wednesday, March 30, at 7pm]."
Meanwhile, the survey can be accessed via the town council's website https://www.hungerford-tc.gov.uk/news or via its social media Facebook page.
