Grab a jab at drop-in Covid clinic in Newbury tomorrow

A drop-in Covid vaccine clinic will be held tomorrow (Friday) in Newbury.

The NHS Health on the Move van will be at the Riverside Community Centre, offering first, second and booster Pfizer vaccines.

The second jab must be at least eight weeks after the first, and the booster must be six months after the second dose.

The van will be at the centre from 10am to 6pm.

A spokesperson for the NHS said: “Why not build your immunity by having your Covid vaccine booster, and protect yourself, your loved ones and the NHS?

“This winter our local NHS services will be under significant pressure due to the colder weather which favours winter virus transmission.

“Experts have warned there could be a significant flu surge this winter, coinciding with continuing or rising Covid cases, so it’s vital that eligible people come forward for their Covid booster.”
