Attractions revealed for the Great Christmas Carnival at Newbury Racecourse
A Flying Father Christmas will soar above the crowds every hour at the Great Christmas Carnival at Newbury Racecourse this festive season.
Organisers have revealed the exciting attractions at the event, but some will cost up to £8.50 for a single ride.
Billed as "the biggest festive event in the South outside of London", the carnival will run at Newbury Racecourse from November 27 until January 2.
Entry tickets cost from £5 to £7.50 with under threes going free, but those who attend will have to pay extra to experience attractions.
A ride on the Greatest Hits Radio Big Wheel will cost £8, a trip through the fun house another £8, and tickets to a 45-minute circus performance range from £12.50 to £24.50.
Tickets to ride The Giant Spinning Coaster, which promises riders "spins, drops, bumps and some super-fast twists and turns", start from £8.50.
The carnival’s attractions include multiple other theme park rides, a Christmas tree maze, Santa’s grotto, and an ice rink, with entry to all costing extra.
For a limited time, visitors who spend £25 or more on rides and attractions by purchasing in advance online will receive 20 per cent off the price of their purchase.
Entry tickets include onsite parking, a hot chocolate and the ability to see the Flying Father Christmas outdoor show.
The show will see Santa flying above the carnival in his sleigh every hour, on the hour, and it promises to be a "very special and ‘one of a kind’ Christmas moment for families".
Entry also gets you access to the expansive Christmas market, which will contain a variety of street food stalls and fully licensed bars.
There will also be a free shuttle bus service for ticket holders, taking people to and from the carnival to the town centre.
