And the whole community is invited to get involved from 10.30am on Saturday, April 5, at St Bart’s School.

Ever wanted to find out more about what it’s like to have an electric vehicle or heat pump, how to reduce your plastic usage or go on a bug hunt and more?

Visitors will be able to browse more than 60 family-friendly stalls run by local environmental organisations, listen to expert speakers and enjoy a range of interesting activities, food and music.

Crafts and cooking demonstrations will also provide fun for the whole family.

Nikki Coome, of GreenFest, said: “We want to inspire and support people to take their next steps for a sustainable future wherever they are starting from.

“Together as a community we can make a real difference and we invite everyone to get involved.”

Newbury Town Council has awarded GreenFest a grant from their Climate Emergency Fund.

Chair of NTC’s Climate Emergency Sub-Committee David Harman said: “We are delighted to support GreenFest 2025 and celebrate our community’s commitment to sustainability and environmental awareness.

“Events like GreenFest play a vital role in inspiring positive change, bringing people together, and promoting a greener future for all.

“The town council is proud to be involved and looks forward to this year’s event.”

The event celebrated its launch last Saturday (March 22) in Newbury town centre, engaging with the public, handing out leaflets and showing off banners.
