GreenFest returning to Hampstead Norreys for a third time
The third annual edition of GreenFest is returning to Hampstead Norreys next month.
The environmentally-focused free event will take place on Saturday, September 10, and it will have activities, workshops, talks, entertainment and much more spread across nine different locations around the village.
One of the festival’s highlights will be an immersive sound and light experience that highlights the climate change journey through land, heat, water and biodiversity.
A GreenFest representative said: “Our goal at GreenFest is to showcase the many sustainable solutions available to us and make it accessible for everyone.
“We hope it will be an educating, inspiring and fun filled day for families and people of all ages looking to make impactful changes in their lives (and on the planet) - and have fun while they do it.”
South London’s graffiti collective WOM will be running an all-day ‘graffiti jam’ at the event, where professional artists will help attendees create their own graffiti artwork to take home.
There will also be crafting activities for all ages, an aerial circus workshop free for everyone to try, and a number of panel discussions too.
A new addition this year will be a forest school teaching workshops throughout the day, with classes including ‘build your own birdbox’, ‘whittle your own spoon’ and ‘apple juicing’.
