Greenham Control Tower welcomed rare Italian cars from West Berkshire branch of Lancia Motor Club
Greenham Control Tower made the most of the weekend sunshine by playing host to the West Berkshire branch of the Lancia Motor Club.
A total of 15 rare Italian cars visited the Tower on Saturday, May 20.
The cars ranged from two examples of the 1920s open-topped Lambda, through to the marque’s most recent model.
A whole range of race and rally-winning types were on show, including the Monte Carlo, Delta, Fulvia and Aurelia and once-popular family cars such as the diminutive Appia.
Club members spent about three hours exploring the tower and discussing Lancias, before departing in a colourful convoy to explore the other historic sights of the former airbase, guided by their organiser, Chris Hopkins.
The tower plans to host similar exhibitions for vehicle enthusiasts, hosting Harley-Davidsons on Sunday, June 11 and MG Midgets/Austin Healey Sprites on Sunday, June 17.
