West Berks CEO's art show raises £4,000 for cancer charities
Chris Boulton’s charity art exhibition at The Base, Greenham Business Park was held last weekend.
The exhibition was formally opened by David Bruce on Saturday and attracted a significant number of local people who were interested in Chris’ eclectic mix of original paintings and prints from landscapes to cycling and mountains to Pop art.
All of the work on display had been painted by Chris - CEO of Greenham Trust - over the last two years, since the beginning of the first Covid pandemic lockdown and during his treatment for bowel cancer, diagnosed a year ago.
After a busy couple of days with many sales of original artwork and prints Chris has been able to donate just over £4,000 to two charities; The Pelican Cancer Foundation and My Cancer My Choices.
Chris said “I never imagined I would ever have an art exhibition for something that just started for fun and couldn’t believe the interest shown in some of my paintings, it’s been amazing and so beneficial for my chosen charities. I would like to thank all those who supported me by buying and the Corn Exchange team who run The Base for their hard work too.”
Chris already has another exhibition planned over the weekend of May 21/22 next year at The Westridge Studio in Highclere, so "I will have to get painting again!"
