Greenham woodland fire cause under investigation





Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) spokeswoman, Ellie Gray, confirmed one pump/crew from Newbury Fire Station was called at 7.43am to Pinchington Lane, to a small grass fire in woodland, believed to have started by a bonfire that got out of control.
Firefighters left the scene at 8.39am.
Thames Valley Police spokesman, James Williams, said police were informed of the incident at 8.45am today (Tues), with the cause under investigation by both the RBFRS and police.
