Its members produced all the work over the past year with different groups involved in photographing, editing, printing, crafting and producing the pieces to be displayed.

Co-founder and manager Claud Monteiro said: “We often do something for Learning Disability Week.

“For the last two years we hosted a little get together at The Slug and Lettuce. But this year we wanted to come up with something new.

“It’s been a nice project to work towards and has given us a little bit of extra focus.

“It's really helped pull the groups together that meet on different days.

“That's something we don't often do but which we’ll maybe do more of going forward.”

The exhibition will be open 9.30am to 5pm every day from Saturday (June 14) until Sunday (June 22).

The Yume Project has a small office in Aldermaston but mainly operates from community venues around Newbury and West Berkshire.

It was formed by a group of ex care workers made redundant after cuts to West Berkshire Council adult social care services in 2011.

The council provided funding and training to help the group get started to support those left unable to find a service.

The project continues to be regularly inspected by the council.
