Guide Dogs to host Family Fun Day at Burghfield Common
Guide Dogs is excited to announce its upcoming Family Fun Day.
Guide Dogs is holds its Reading Hub Family Fun Day on Saturday, September 30 from noon until 4pm.
The day offers a fantastic opportunity for people to see what goes on at Hillfields in Reading Road, Burghfield Common, the home of the national charity since 1992.
The day will feature dog training demonstrations and the chance to learn more about how Guide Dogs helps people with sight loss of all ages.
Children’s entertainment will include a scavenger hunt, fairground games, face painting, a tombola and a lucky dip, while adults can browse numerous stalls selling local crafts and more.
Dog owners are welcome to bring their dogs to the pet dog show, where a celebrity judge will be assessing the waggiest tail and the best trick, among other categories.
Various catering will be available, including vegetarian and vegan food options, plus a bar, a cake stand and tea and coffee.
Entry and parking is free at The Willink School in School Lane, where a free shuttle bus will transport visitors to and from Hillfields.
A free shuttlebus will also be doing trips around Burghfield and Burghfield Common.
