Guilty: Calcot man James Honey who denied asaulting police

A MAN has been ordered to compensate the police officer he assaulted.
James Honey appeared in the dock at Reading Magistrates’ Court on Monday, November 11.
The 31-year-old, of Burbridge Road, Calcot, was accused of assaulting PC Samuel Scarrett, who was carrying out his duties as an officer, in Reading on July 20 last year.
Honey denied the charge – but he was convicted following a trial.
Honey, who was legally represented by Nonso Ikeazor, was fined £200.
In addition, he was ordered to pay £250 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £80.
Finally, Honey was ordered to pay £100 compensation to PC Scarrett.
