A MAN has been ordered to pay hundreds of pounds in compensation to a woman he assaulted.
At a previous hearing at Reading Magistrates’ Court, Marc Lee pleaded not guilty to assaulting Kasey Randall by beating her in Newbury on October 5 last year.
But following a trial on Thursday, October 3, he was convicted of the offence.
Thirty-one-year-old Lee, of Park Avenue, Thatcham, was made subject to a 12-month community order and required to complete 180 hours of unpaid community work.
In addition, he was ordered to pay £100 costs, plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £114.
Finally, Lee was ordered to pay Ms Randall £500 compensation.
