Gusts of up to 45mph are widely expected across the area, with heavy showers - like the one deluging Newbury at the moment - throughout the day.

The Met Office said the winds will slowly ease throughout the evening and into Monday night.

It warned that the inclement weather could cause disruption to transport, with longer journey times expected.
