Hair-raising experience for 50th birthday

Debbie Hutt of Equine Way, Newbury, decided to mark her 50th birthday by fulfilling her lifetime ambition of jumping from a plane from 11,000ft.
But the grandmother-of-five, who works as a hairdresser at Julian's The Essential Hair Studio, Inches Yard, Newbury, admits she is actually acrophobic.
However, despite her fear of heights, the mother-of-two completed her jump with the London Parachute School in Wallingford on August 19.
“I loved every minute of it,” Mrs Hutt said. “I would have done it again straight away if I had the chance.
“It’s one of the best things I have ever done and I would recommend it to anyone.”
The 50-year-old thanked her partner, Daz, as well as her family, friends, colleagues and clients who sponsored her.
Mrs Hutt raised a total of £1,300, which is to be shared between Breast Cancer Breakthrough and Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
