Foam used to extinguish blaze
A Halfway bonfire blaze yesterday (Tues) evening at the empty premises of a haulage company spread to oil barrels stored at the site.
One fire engine from Newbury Fire Station was called at 6.30pm, to the premises of a haulage company, not far from the Halfway Inn.
On arrival firefighters found the blaze well alight, with nothing in danger.
The fire was extinguished by two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus, using one hosereel and foam.
The cause was recorded as accidental .
Firefighters left the scene after half an hour.
