Secret trail and prizes organised by Newbury BID

ON your marks for the Hallowe’en Hunt. There’s a secret trail round Newbury town centre and the chance to win a prize draw.

The event, sponsored by the Newbury BID, takes place between tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday, October 31.

Collect your special form from Kiosk 1 opposite Debenhams at Parkway shopping centre and follow a trail of cauldrons around the town collecting clues.

Those who work out and find all 15 clues and crack a code will be in with a chance of winning something spookily special at the prize draw, which takes place on Sunday, November 1, at the Newbury Artisan Market.

Managing director of Newbury BID, Russell Dowling, said: “This is the second year running that we’ve organised the event, because it proved so popular, both with the public and with retailers.

“It’s a great way to open up the town to new people and also to let people realise there’s more to Newbury, not just in the centre but also on the periphery."
