Hampshire farm raises over £9,000 for air ambulance
Held at Winfield Frenches Farm, Little London, Andover, an arable and beef cattle farm and horse livery, the auction was organised by catering company, Perks Ltd - owned by Anna White, who lives at/owns the farm, with her husband, Charlie White and who both were, she said: “Thrilled,” at the £9,230 amount raised:
“We decided to hold an auction of promises to raise funds in order to help the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance as they have been to the farm on many occasions to help injured riders in need,” said Mrs White, who continued:
“It is a fantastic charity and needs a huge amount of support in order to keep running,”
“We all had a brilliant time at the event and it was fantastic to have Sir George and Lady Young there supporting the event.”
The MP, Sir George Young, said he enjoyed the event and was grateful to Peter Corbett for the professional way he ran the auction, adding:
“Charlie and Anna White were great hosts.”
The final total raised was likely to rise to almost £12,000, due to gift aid and thanks to Barclays bank doubling the amount raised on a raffle to a total £1,500, according to the organisers.
