HAMPSHIRE fire and police services are aiming to combine their strategic headquarters, while cutting operational costs.
In the last two years, Hampshire Fire and Rescue Services (HFRS) and Hampshire Constabulary have collocated police officers and staff into facilities in HFRS buildings in Redbridge, Arlesford and Stockbridge.
Now, Simon Hayes, (pictured) the Hampshire Police and Crime Commissioner, plans to base around 100 senior police officers and support staff at HFRS’s Leigh Road base, next to the M3.
The force’s operational HQ will remain at Mottisfont Court, Winchester.
