Hampstead Norreys welcomes its third Greenfest
Thousands of visitors travelled from far and wide for the third annual edition of GreenFest.
The environmentally-focused family event was hosted in Hampstead Norreys at the weekend.
The event welcomed a wide range of eco-businesses, expert speakers, climate action groups and entertainers to share their insight in panel discussions – held at nine different locations across the village.
Around 4,000 visitors of all ages had the opportunity to participate in free, hands-on activities and workshops to learn about eco-friendly products, nature and wildlife care and renewable energy.
Highlights included the immersive climate light experience, an aerial circus workshop, the nature zone and a sustainable market formed of over 40 food, arts and music stalls.
New to the event this year was the Forest School.
Qualified bushcrafters and nature experts led classes on ‘building your own birdbox’, ‘whittling your own spoon’ and ‘apple juicing’.
The organisers said they were grateful to the 161 volunteers who helped to organise the event and inspire members of the community to make sustainable changes to their lives.
