Hank Wangford cancels Hungerford gig

Ill health forces show cancellation

THE elder statesman of English alt country, Hank Wangford, has been forced to cancel a gig on Friday, July 1, due to ill health.

The 75-year-old was due to kick off the 25th Hungerford And District Arts Festival (Hadcaf) in The Croft Hall, Hungerford.

One of the organisers of Hadcaf, Elizabeth Davis, said: "It's very disappointing but this is apparently the first time in his entire career that he's had to cancel a concert due to ill health."
