Hardware store Wickes coming to Newbury

The firm is to set up shop on the former site of Silverbridge House, Hambridge Road, the demolition of which was recently granted permission by planners to allow for redevlopment by Travis Perkins.
Two other firms, which have not yet been confirmed, will also occupy the site.
Newbury town councillors posed no objection to the plans at a meeting on Wednesday night.
A decision is expected from West Berkshire Council by June 19.
