A Thatcham woman who found a locket in Greenham is appealing for the owners to come forward to claim it

A THATCHAM woman, who found a locket while out walking, is appealing for the owners to come forward to claim it.

The woman, who asked not to be named, said that she was out walking at Bowdown Woods in Greenham at about 4pm on Monday, January 3.

She said that someone had left the locket hanging on a map and she decided to take it home to find the owner.

In the locket were two pictures.

The woman said: "It's quite large for a locket.

"It must be very precious to somebody."

However, she said that where someone had hung it on the map, water had flooded it and the pictures inside were ruined.

Anyone who thinks the locket may belong to them and can describe it should contact the.hollands@btinternet.com to have it returned.
