Hearing aid manufacturers to showcase latest technology in Newbury thanks to Tracy James
A Newbury business is preparing to welcome visitors wanting to hear more clearly.
Later this month, Tracy James Hearing, which opened in Wharf Street in July, is holding an open day giving people an opportunity to find out more about hearing health and the very latest technology available.
Hearing aid manufacturers, including Widex, Signia and Starkey, will be sending representatives so they can answer questions from visitors, and showcase some of their new products.
Some of these hearing aids will have new Bluetooth LE Audio technology, known as Auracast, which is starting to replace the telecoil/loop systems installed in public places such as theatres, airports and sports bars.
Others will connect directly to phones, smart watches and televisions, making it easier to communicate.
The team from Tracy James will give tours of their new premises, and be able to explain their services, and answer questions about hearing health.
There will also be special offers on selected hearing aids, and a free prize draw to win a Fortnum and mason tea box courtesy of Widex.

The event runs from 10am to 4pm on Thursday, September 26.
