Help and advice offered to carers at event this week

The Berkshire Carers Service, who are hosting the event, say that thousands of people in the district may be missing out on vital benefits and support.
A special drop-in session will be held at Newbury Town Hall from 10am to 2pm on Thursday November 28, where experts will be on hand to raise awareness about benefits and support services.
Chief Executive of Berkshire Carers Service, Elspeth McPherson, said: “There are more than 14,000 people in West Berkshire looking after family and friends.
“This event will highlight the fact there is help and back up to support them in their caring role.”
The event is being held in partnership with Empowering West Berkshire (EWB), West Berkshire Council and NHS Newbury and District Clinical Commisioning Group (CCG).
Berkshire Carers Service provides free information and support to unpaid carers.
