Dog of the Week: The latest dogs looking for their forever homes from Newbury Dogs Trust
Welcome to this week’s Dog of the Week.
Dogs Trust Newbury has a number of dogs at its Hamstead Marshall base who need a new home.
And so every Sunday we will continue to shine a spotlight on one of them to try to help spread the word.
Nationwide, the charity currently has 678 dogs that are looking for a family to join.
You can find out more about adopting a dog by visiting the charity’s website.
Today we have this lovely, smiley girl to introduce you to.
Purdy is a sweet-natured three-year-old Rottweiler who is still finding her confidence.
She is looking for a quieter home as sudden and loud noises can be scary for her.
Purdy is a big foodie who likes anything from kibble to fancy chews and loves lying on a nice comfy bed to enjoy them.
She enjoys exploring with her nose and is getting to grips with slowly finding all the new places at Dogs Trust Newbury.
“It can take her a little time to feel comfortable with new people, but she soon becomes affectionate once she has started to build a bond,” the trust said.
“Purdy is looking for a home that is willing to continue her ongoing training.
“She would benefit from a quiet home away from main roads and busy traffic.”
She will need to be the only pet within the home and will need access to a private garden.
Purdy is just looking for a loving home with owners who can help her shine.
