Curridge school 'little troopers' celebrate their heroes

Pupils at Curridge Primary School rounded off last week with a special celebration.

On Friday, pupils were invited to come in dressed up as their favourite superheroes or real-life heroes.

The occasion was in aid of Little Troopers, a registered charity supporting children with one or both parents serving in the British Armed Forces, regular or reserve.

Children across the school – many of whom have parents serving in the armed forces – were in full costume and kept busy with a bake sale to raise money for the charity.

"We are so grateful for the wealth of resources that we are able to access for our children," explained headteacher, Jackie Livermore.

"From assemblies, courses and workshops, to ways for children to keep in touch with serving parents, there is something for every circumstance.

"This is a fabulous way to celebrate the unique situation of many of our children."
