Help raise funds for the Pink Ribbon Foundation campaign

Newbury Building Society gave more than £2,000 to the foundation last year, by donating £5 for every limited edition ‘Pink Ribbon Saver’ easy access savings account that was opened in branch.
This year, they’re hoping to donate even more – and it couldn’t be easier for our readers to help.
Just above our masthead on this week’s NWN front page, you’ll see a ‘Pink Ribbon Foundation’ coupon.
Cut it out, take it into one of Newbury Building Society’s local branches and the society, in turn, will donate the price of our newspaper to the charity – that’s 75p for every coupon they receive.
So, when you purchase a copy of this May 30 edition of the Newbury Weekly News, you can help support the important work of this foundation, providing financial support to UK charities that help people suffering from, or who have been affected by, breast cancer.
“This is such a great way to show your support,’ said Geoff Knappett, development director at Newbury Building Society.
“The charity also provides help to advance the understanding of breast cancer, its early detection and treatment.
“Our staff are making a huge commitment to raising extra money – and we’d love to see people popping into our Newbury, Thatcham, or Hungerford branches with their coupons from 9am today (Thursday) to 12 noon Saturday (June 1), to show their support – but it really couldn’t be easier to help boost the charity’s funds.
