BBC Children in Need sees West Berkshire and North Hampshire going dotty for charity

Volunteers from Newbury’s 41 Club have been helping Pudsey to collect donations for BBC Children in Need today (Friday).

The big yellow bear has been spotted in his usual place on Bridge Street in the town centre, shaking his donation bucket.

Schools and clubs across the district have been raising money for the annual fundraiser, which will be aired live on BBC1 tonight.

All the money raised will go to great causes across the UK.

The 'Great SPOTacular Appeal Night' starts from 7pm on BBC1 and will feature exclusive sketches, music, dance "and a few BIG surprises!"
