Helping the isolated

The Village Agent project has agents in Hungerford, Lambourn and Kintbury who might be able to help...but they need your input.
The scheme co-ordinator for Hungerford and the Lambourn Valley, Gill Cromley, said: “Many us can be very independent and then almost overnight, need a little help but do not know what help is available. Village Agents can put residents in touch with the services that already exist, to allow them to enjoy the community they live in and to be able to stay in their own homes for longer.”
Village Agents can help with housing, pensions and benefits, fire safety, transport, personal safety, social care, leisure, health care and trading standards issues.
If there is a problem the Village Agent tries to find a solution, by referring the many agencies that already exist.
