Here’s where roadworks will be taking place across West Berkshire in the coming weeks
More overnight closures are planned on a busy Newbury road.
Pinchington Lane will be shut from 7pm until 5am from Monday, June 2 until Thursday, June 5.
The closure will be in place from the roundabout at the entrance to Tesco to the roundabout at Deadmans Lane.
It is to allow Volker Highways to carry out resurfacing work.
Residential access will be maintained when possible and a diversion will be in place.
Pinchington Lane was shut for several weeks at the beginning of the year while gas main replacement works were carried out.
There are also currently four-way traffic lights further along on Burys Bank Road, at the junction with Pigeons Farm Road, while Thames Water carry out works. It is expected that these will last until June 17.
Further closures
Elsewhere in the district there are further overnight closures on the A4 London Road next week.
The road will be shut from its junction with Craven Dene to the Newbury Business Park roundabout.
The closures will take place from 8pm until 5am each night from Tuesday, May 27 until Monday, June 2.
It is to allow Volker Highways to carry out resurfacing work.
Stoney Lane, in Thatcham will be shut next Wednesday, May 28, between 8am and 5pm.
The closure will be between the junctions of A4 London Road and Station Road.
It is to allow for permanent carriageway repairs to be carried out.
Padworth Lane, in Padworth will also be closed next Wednesday, May 28, between the junctions of A4 Bath Road and Sopers Lane.
it will be shut from 8am until 5pm to allow for the replacement of damaged bollards and the repair of the verge.
During all the works, residential access will be maintained when possible.
Village roadworks
A village road will be closed for one day next week for carriageway repairs.
Station Road, Aldermaston, will be shut on Tuesday, May 27, between the junctions of Station Road and Frouds Lane.
It will be closed from 8am until 5pm.
Pangbourne Road, running through both Basildon and Pangbourne, will also be shut for several hours on one day next week.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Yattendon Road and Gardeners Lane.
It will shut on Wednesday, May 28 at 9.30am and is expected to reopen at around 3.30pm the same day.
The closure is in place to allow Volker Highways to carry out permanent repairs to the carriageway.
Residential access will be maintained if possible for both closures.
Newbury 10k
There will be a number of temporary road closures in place on Bank Holiday Monday, May 26, while the Newbury 10k race takes place.
The closures will be in place from 8.30am until 12.30pm.
The affected roads are: Bonemill Lane, Enborne Road, Rockingham Road, St Georges Avenue, Green Lane, Craven Road, Bartholomew Street, West Mills, Bridge Street, Northcroft Lane, Northbrook Street, West Street, Strawberry Hill, Old Bath Road, Speen Lane and Church Lane.
Speen footpath 3 will also be shut.
