Here we go, it's the royal wedding!

Get ready to wave that flag, Chapel Row's most famous daughter is about to become royalty

THE big day is finally here.

The country may have come to a standstill to watch Kate Middleton, the daughter of a Chapel Row family, marry Prince William, but the Newburytoday team will be busier than ever as we bring you rolling wedding coverage from across the district today.

With reporters in Bucklebury covering the special Tea in the Park celebration event and the bash at the Bladebone Inn in the village, we also have our team in Newbury, Thatcham, Hungerford and many other areas.

The wedding itself takes place today, but the fun has already started across West Berkshire.

St Andrew's School in Pangbourne celebrated the wedding of their most famous pupil to Prince William yesterday (Thursday).

The celebrations took the form of an afternoon tea, interrupted by a three cheer salute for the blessed couple.

Miss Middleton went to the school from 1986 when she was four years old until after her 13th birthday in 1995.

Head girl Chloe Nelson said: “It is great to think that Catherine Middleton came to St Andrew's and was as happy as I am here.”

Follow www.newburytoday.co.uk throughout the day for news and pictures of events in your area.

Next Thursday in our sister publication, the Newbury Weekly News, a special 10-page Royal Wedding supplement will also chronicle what could prove to be the biggest and most colourful day in West Berkshire's history.

And don't forget to send in your pictures and news to newsdesk@newburynews.co.uk
