Hungerford Historical Association to host talk on researching family history
The Hungerford Historical Association is holding its next talk later this month.
The talk will be on ‘Mariners, Teapots and Gems: Adventures in Family History Research’ by Alan Ford on October 23 at The Corn Exchange, Hungerford.
Where do you start with family history research?
If you know nothing except a few names and tall tales, how can you find out who your ancestors really were? How do you build a picture of what their lives were actually like?
Mr Ford has spent more than 20 years working in computing, including as a researcher, consultant and software developer.
His interest in genealogy only started recently but has allowed him to apply his research experience and problem-solving skills to a totally different domain.
The talk starts at 7.30pm. Entry costs £5 on the door.
