Hermitage workers hike for charity

A team of staff from ECEX in Hermitage will walk from Winchester Cathedral to Salisbury Cathedral today (Sunday)

STAFF from a Hermitage-based engineering firm are taking on a gruelling 26-mile hike from Winchester Cathedral to Salisbury Cathedral today (Sunday) in the name of charity.

A team from ECEX, in Priors Court Road, and members of their families, have been in training for the walk as they attempt to raise funds for Naomi House Children's Hospice.

“We've been doing some serious training in preperation,” said sales director at the firm, John Grenville.

“We've been up and Lambourn Valley way and have been putting in some miles, hopefully it will have put us in good stead for the walk. Now all we need is for people to sponsor us.”
