'Hey, folks - I made it to the top!'

Lis Allen is the toast of colleagues at the Hungerford Athena businesswomen’s network after she raised £2,281, with pledges of more, for the charity WaterAid.
The Tanzanian peak is the highest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the world at 5,895 metres or 19,341 feet above sea level.
Mrs Allen, a 56-year-old personal development coach, said: “The altitude sickness was so bad at some points that I felt naseous and as if I had really bad flu coming on.
“On the worst day I had a five hour trek to complete but I just gritted my teeth and hauled myself out of my sleeping bag. It felt like walking through treacle - everything was an effort.”
Before she set off, Mrs Allen said: “There are differing microclimates - I’ll be in short sleeves for the malarial zone and then it’s possibly minus 20 degrees at the summit.”
All the hard work finally paid off when she reached the summit.
Mrs Allen, who lives in Greenham, paid for her own trip and all cash raised will go to the charity
WaterAid uses practical solutions to provide clean water, safe sanitation and hygiene education to the world's poorest people.
