HGV overturns on M4 between Theale and Newbury

All lanes have reopened

UPDATE Wednesday 8.30am: The incident has now been cleared.

A heavy goods vehicle has overturned on the M4 westbound between junction 12 for Theale and 13 for Newbury.

The accident was caused by a tyre blowout on the lorry, and the driver is understood to be shaken but not seriously injured.

Two lanes remain closed.

Drivers are urged to approach with caution.
