Hideous Kinky author to visit Watermill
Esther Freud next month's Bookclub guest
Successful writer and actress Esther Freud, author of Hideous Kinky and Love Falls, is next month's Watermill Bookclub guest (May 11, 1.30pm). She will be talking about her dazzling acclaimed new novel Lucky Break, which follows a group of young actors as they grapple with haphazard tours, illogical auditions, unobtainable agents, deluxe caravans, rocky relationships and red-carpet premieres. Their world reveals ruthless ambition, uncertain alliances and the many-sided holy grail of success.
Esther Freud was named as one of the 20 Best of Young British Novelists, alongside Alan Hollingsworth, Hanif Kureishi and Kazuo Ishiguru by Granta magazine. She is the daughter of painter Lucian Freud and great-granddaughter of Sigmund Freud. She is married to the actor David Morrisey.
